I am a licensed psychologist in Oregon with many years of experience within the mental health field. My career began in 1998 as a treatment counselor for severely emotionally disturbed children in a residential treatment facility called the Parry Center. In addition to the Parry Center, I have provided clinical services in a wide range of settings including home-based, clinics, schools, hospitals, and juvenile justice. After many years of practice, I continue to find my work challenging and rewarding.
Although I have served clients of all ages, my passion remains working with difficult teens and complex family systems. Such challenging cases require a high level of patience, skills, and sensitivity. Those cases have contributed greatly to my growth as a clinician.
I am also passionate about serving the underserved population. For many years I have worked in community mental health, providing treatment for families of low socioeconomic status. Although the needs of these families are often monumental, I have always been inspired by their resiliency and learned so much from their struggles.
